EDUCATING AND RAISING AWARENESS ABOUT ADOPTION IN ORDER TO CREATE A CULTURE OF LIFE
Over 5 million Americans were adopted. Most of us still don’t know how to talk about it.
We’re changing the conversation by teaching the truth about adoption and how to talk about it with empathy and respect.
Through school programs, community education, and real stories, we're helping the next generation better understand adoption and the people it touches.
WHO WE ARE
PLACED is a nonprofit organization dedicated to adoption education.
We believe people make better decisions and build stronger communities when they understand the realities of adoption. Our mission is to provide honest, compassionate education that helps people talk about adoption with empathy and respect.
WHAT WE DO
We create engaging educational programs that help students and communities better understand adoption.
Through classroom presentations, community outreach, resources, and storytelling, we challenge misconceptions, encourage meaningful conversations, and give people the tools to support everyone touched by adoption.
WHY IT MATTERS
Adoption affects millions of people, yet it is often misunderstood.
When people learn the realities of adoption and hear the voices of adoptees, birth parents, and adoptive families, they gain a deeper understanding of what it means to belong, support one another, and build families in different ways.
